Building A Future
Campaign 2026
ION Mission: Building a Future in LaCeibita
A Fundraising Campaign for a High School, Technology, and Community-Learning Space
More Education. Brighter Futures. Stronger Communities.
CAMPAIGN GOAL
$65,000
Help create a pathway to high school completion for the children of LaCeibita, Honduras, by equipping a computer lab, constructing four classrooms, and building a covered gathering space for school and community use.
Three Priorities. One Goal.
A brighter future for the children of LaCeibita.
PRIORITY 1
25-Student Computer Lab
$25,000
Create a secure, connected learning environment where 25 students can develop essential digital skills for their future success. Funding will cover computers, supporting technology and infrastructure, installation, and the essential security measures to protect the equipment.
25 students. New technology. New possibilities.
PRIORITY 2
Four Additional Classrooms
$20,000
Construct four classrooms to provide the space required for high school instruction. Each new classroom will serve more students and provide a broader program of study.
4 classrooms. More opportunities.
PRIORITY 3
Community Learning Pavilion
$20,000
Add a permanent roof over a dedicated assembly area, creating a covered Community Learning Pavilion for school gatherings, student programs, parent meetings, celebrations, and community events.
A space for learning. A space for community.
Building More Than a School. Building a Future.
Students in LaCeibita can currently attend school locally only through the ninth grade. Continuing their education requires travel and resources that are beyond the reach of many families, so most students do not complete high school or earn a diploma.
We have an opportunity to change that.
Our objective is to build and furnish a high school for the children of LaCeibita.
This project will offer young people the opportunity to continue learning in their own community, prepare for employment or further education, and build a stronger future for themselves, their families, and LaCeibita.
Our Mission in LaCeibita
LaCeibita is a small, rural Honduran village where many families face persistent economic hardship. The community was established in 1998 in the aftermath of Hurricane Mitch, when churches and relief organizations joined together to provide homes for people displaced by the storm.
Our mission teams have traveled to LaCeibita since 2009, building long-term relationships and working alongside local leaders.
Through the years, we have:
- Supported the local church and its ministry in the community.
- Built and continue to support a feeding center that serves up to 150 schoolchildren each day, as well as other neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
- Partnered with the local school on building and improvement projects.
- Provided student sponsorships through the Becas Program.
- Helped offer health screenings and other forms of practical support.
The high school project is the next step in this sustained partnership: expanding access to education while strengthening the community institutions already serving LaCeibita.

The Becas Scholarship Fund
Once the three project priorities are fully funded, gifts above the $65,000 campaign goal will support future student scholarships through the Becas Program. These scholarships will help remove financial barriers so students can continue their education and make full use of the opportunities created by the high school.
First, we create the place to learn. Then, we help students get there.

Together We Can Build A Future
For more than a decade, this mission has walked alongside the people of LaCeibita. Together, we can take the next step by giving students the classrooms, technology, and gathering space they need to complete high school close to home.
Your gift will turn a ninth-grade educated child down a path toward higher level of learning and graduation, while offering a brighter, more secure future for this community.
